Campus Dining is excited to be opening the doors to its stunning new dining center, Fall 2024! This state-of-the-art facility serves as a love letter to you, the students of UM, and to the state of Montana, featuring seven unique micro-restaurants that celebrate an expansive array of food and cultures from around the world. The spacious new dining center has been designed to comfortably accommodate over 900 students, faculty, staff, and guests! Your dining plan provides you full access to this comfortable, friendly all-you-care-to-eat venue, including its seven unique cuisines, roof decks with views of the Oval, and floor-to-ceiling fireplace.

Now, about dining plans:  students living in on-campus residence halls are required to purchase a residential dining plan as part of their contract with UM Housing. We have launched two new dining plans: the Maroon 7-Day Plan and Silver 5-Day Plan, both of which offer outstanding food and great value, and which vary based on how frequently you choose to dine. Your dining plan is super-convenient and can be accessed via your UM Griz Card digital credential.  Both plans come equipped with five guest passes you can use when you want to bring friends and family to share a taste of your UM experience at the dining center.

Dining Plans

This fall, we are pleased to introduce two new dining plans featuring exclusive dining in our new dining center. Each provides access to our all-you-care-to-eat dining experience and can be tailored to how frequently you choose to dine with us.

Maroon 7-Day Plan

If you are living on campus in one of our residence halls and find yourself on campus over the weekend, the Maroon 7-Day Plan is designed for you. For $3,586 per semester, this plan allows unlimited entries to our dining center anytime during operating hours, for everything from simple snacks to full meals. Don’t forget about your five guest passes; those come included in this plan as well. Plus, enjoy an additional $300 in Bear Bucks each semester to be used at any of our other locations around campus, including The Market (1^st floor) and Food Court (2^nd floor) at the University Center, and any of our coffee shops located across campus.

Silver 5-Day Plan

For students who are on campus Monday through Friday or find themselves exploring Montana on the weekends, our Silver 5-Day Plan may be the plan you are looking for. The Silver 5-Day Plan, at $2,978 per semester, offers unlimited access to our dining center during operating hours, Monday through Friday. You don’t need to worry about managing entrance swipes or weekly dining funds; every meal in the dining center, regardless of size, is included. You’ll also receive $100 in Bear Bucks per semester, to be used at other locations across campus.

WHEN IS MY DINING PLAN AVAILABLE?

Your dining plan will be activated on Monday, August 19, 2024, and will be available for use on your UM Griz Card digital credential. Our dining plans are designed to be used during the academic semester when classes are in session and must be utilized by Sunday, December 15, 2024. When our campus is closed for holidays or extended breaks, limited locations are available; the new dining center may be closed. Bear Bucks can be utilized, and additional deposits can be made to use during these times. Unlike dining plan swipes, Bear Bucks carry over from semester to semester.
