Your dining plan is designed to make campus life easier. The Lodge Dining Center serves as UM’s main residential dining location, offering a place to grab a meal, meet friends, study between classes, or settle in after a long day. Residential dining plans include unlimited entries during eligible plan days, guest swipes for visitors, and Dining Dollars that can be used at participating Campus Dining retail locations.
Residential Dining Plans
Students living in an on-campus residence hall are required to purchase a residential dining plan. UM Campus Dining currently offers two residential dining plans, the Maroon 7 Day Plan and the Silver 5 Day Plan. Both plans provide unlimited entries to The Lodge Dining Center during eligible plan days and operating hours. Each plan also includes five guest swipes and Dining Dollars for added flexibility. Residential dining plans can be accessed with your UM Griz Card digital credential set up on your mobile device.
Maroon 7 Day Residential Dining Plan
The Maroon 7 Day Plan is designed for students who want access to The Lodge Dining Center throughout the week, including weekends. For $3,954 per semester, this plan allows unlimited entries to The Lodge Dining Center anytime during operating hours, seven days per week. The plan also includes five guest swipes and $300 in Dining Dollars each semester.
Silver 5 Day Residential Dining Plan
The Silver 5 Day Plan is designed for students who plan to dine on campus Monday through Friday. For $3,283 per semester, this plan allows unlimited entries to The Lodge Dining Center during operating hours, Monday through Friday. The plan also includes five guest swipes and $100 in Dining Dollars each semester.
Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars give residential dining plan holders extra flexibility across campus. Use them at participating Campus Dining retail locations, including The Market and Food Court in the University Center, Biz Buzz, and Recess. Dining Dollars are not accepted at the Starbucks located in the Emma B. Lommasson Center. Dining Dollars are included with your residential dining plan and are available for the semester they are issued. Unused Dining Dollars do not carry forward and are nonrefundable.
Guests Swipes
Want to bring a friend or family member to The Lodge? Each residential dining plan includes five guest swipes for use at The Lodge Dining Center. Maroon 7 Day Plan guest swipes may be used anytime during the semester. Silver 5 Day Plan guest swipes may be used Monday through Friday during the semester. After the five guest swipes are used, Dining Dollars may be used to host a guest. The dining plan holder must be present when using a guest swipe.
