UM’s innovative BA/MA program offers students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics in five years.

Curriculum

The requirements for the BA/MA are similar to the traditional degree programs: the major difference is an accelerated schedule. The key to completing the BA/MA is advance planning. Undergraduates considering the five-year program should contact the Economics Graduate Advisor, Katrina Mullin as early as possible.

Eligible Students

Eligible Students will:

• Be within 6 credits of completing a Bachelor's degree in economics by the end of the Fall semester of their 4th year
• Complete all the requirements for the BA in Economics degree by the end of the Spring semester in their 4th year
• Have at least a 3.0 GPA
