General Information

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Montana, is located in Butte, Montana in the Mike Mansfield Federal Building. The student will work on active court cases and receive instruction and guidance from the Judge and court staff and must have the ability to work independently. Duties include legal research, oral presentation and discussion of work in progress, and drafting of memoranda and court documents. Over the course of the semester, students will have an opportunity to observe a variety of daily motion practice and hearings.
