Scott Sterling

Dr. Scott Sterling received in MA in Linguistics at the University of Montana in 2010, and received a PhD in Second Language Studies at the Michigan State University in 2015. Dr. Sterling is an Associate Professor of Linguistics and TESL at Indiana State University. His research mainly focuses on methods of improving the quality of the research done within applied linguistics, especially in terms of how scholars think and conduct ethical research. His research can be found in two main areas: (1) meta-research in linguistics, and (2) research ethics in applied linguistics. He has published his work in a variety of journals, including Language Learning, Research Methods in Applied Linguistics, and TESOL Quarterly.
