Application Process and Information
The MMAC requires all participating in the certificate program to submit the Pre-Approval Form. Once approved, non-UM student participants who would like academic credit must complete the Graduate School’s Slate form which includes a $70 fee (under Enrollment Status select 'Degree Seeking' and as Major select the Museum Studies Certificate').
The MMAC will follow up with all students to confirm program acceptance and next steps in registration. Students may view the semester's course offerings through the Museum Studies website and register by emailing the museum directly at museum@mso.umt.edu. Once the student has registered for classes, MMAC will send an invoice by the beginning of the semester, to be paid within 30 days; an extension on remitting payment may be allowed to account for delays in receipt of Financial Aid.
The MMAC currently accepts check, cash, and online payments which include a 3% card processing fee.
