Raising Indigenous Voices in Academia: A Conference on the Scholarship of Indigenous Knowledge

theme of central importance to the RIVA conference is to highlight Indigenous knowledge and scholarship with a goal to raise awareness regarding a lack of Indigenous academics representing Indigenous scholarship in academia. Specific times have been set aside for attendees to discussions thoughts about this theme, the scholarship represented, and how having Indigenous scholars as faculty would benefit college and university communities.
