2020: A Year of Shared Accomplishments and Challenges

December 24, 2020

Dear UM Family,

As the end to 2020 draws near, I want to commend you on your accomplishments. I want to congratulate you on your successes. And, most importantly, I want to thank you for your dedication to the University of Montana. Each of you does important work and each of you changes lives through your role at this great institution.

Thanks to you, UM’s hard-working staff and faculty, we kept student success at the center of all we do, ensuring our students could continue their paths to bright futures. We did this while continuing to conduct groundbreaking research, creating innovative solutions to new and existing challenges, keeping the many complex facets of running a university of this size operational, and charting a new course for UM.

In the following video message, we hear from students and employees about the challenges we have faced together, what we have accomplished as a UM family and the optimism we share.
