Call for Employee Award Nominations

Dear Campus Community,

I am excited to invite you to submit nominations for UM’s Week of Excellence Employee Awards. 

These awards, a combination of those traditionally presented to employees at a Charter Day celebration and at the Employee Celebration Breakfast, honor exemplary members of the UM family. The nomination deadline for all awards is 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 9.

While we are not able to present these awards in-person, we will hold three smaller virtual Week of Excellence Employee Award ceremonies during the week of April 19.

The UM Week of Excellence is a new campus tradition that we plan to preserve moving forward. Week of Excellence will highlight the accomplishments of UM students, staff and faculty through a series of celebrations. A schedule of the 2021 Week of Excellence events is online. 

You can view the full list of awards and submit your nominations online. Please note that as the 2020 Employee Celebration Breakfast was canceled due to COVID-19, Employee Appreciation Award nominations submitted in spring 2020 will be considered for the 2021 awards. 

Each employee award is accompanied by a monetary prize. Most employee award prizes are made possible through grants from the Excellence Fund, while others have been funded by donors to honor the individual for whom the employee award is named.
