Art Siting Committee

CHARGE

Consisting of personnel from the Montana Museum of Art and Culture, UM Administration, Facilities Services, and Risk Management, the Art Siting Committee is charged with managing public art on the UM campus, including objects on display in public spaces both inside and outside university buildings. The committee makes all decisions regarding the feasibility, acquisition, safety, security, and public benefit of these works of art. When necessary, it also determines the maintenance, relocation, and/or removal of such objects. The committee is further charged with coordinating with the Montana Arts Council regarding Percent for Art projects on the university campus.

This committee meets at least once per year.
