From Move-In Day to the Big Event, your first year at UM is packed with new friends, big traditions, outdoor adventures, Griz game days, late nights, and plenty of moments you’ll never forget. Here’s what to expect when you become a Grizzly.

Aber Hall is the building where UM helps you get from “I don't know” to “I've got this.” From financial aid to career preparation, accessibility and academic support, the "Aber-hood" brings the people and resources students need under one roof. It’s a place to ask questions, solve problems, make connections and leave feeling more confident.

Campus might feel confusing at first, but in no time, Grizzlies call this place a second home. We're a friendly community, so if you get lost, just ask! Visit our campus maps to make your routes. 

Fuel your day and find your people. Students attending the Big Sky Experience will be able to use their meal plans beginning Monday, Aug. 17. After you've moved into your residence hall on Monday, join Campus Dining for UM’s much-anticipated First Meal of the academic year from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in The Lodge Dining Center. The evening’s lineup will include the UM Marching Band, our playful mascot Monte and more!

Griz Nation builds champions. Come pack South Campus Stadium this semester and cheer on your fellow Grizzlies and experience the speed, skill and excitement of Griz Soccer. Last season, they brought home the Big Sky Championship. This season, they’re ready to defend it. With you in the stands.

The car is unpacked, the hugs were had, and your Grizzly is ready for what’s next. We’ve got a few tips to make this transition a little easier by staying in touch with UM. Because home doesn’t disappear when college begins. Mark your calendar for Family Weekend Oct. 16-18!
