Mission

Launched in summer 2022, the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR@UM) enriches and supports undergraduate research across the disciplines at the University of Montana. OUR@UM works to foster a vibrant undergraduate research community at UM, culminating each year in the University of Montana Conference on Undergraduate Research (UMCUR).

OUR@UM Welcomes New Director

Alexis Gibson joined the Office of Undergraduate Research in May 2022 as founding director. Gibson earned her BA in biology and PhD in forestry and conservation, both from the University of Montana, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship and served as field education coordinator of UM's Department of Ecosystem and Conservation Sciences. Most recently, she served as program director for the Society for Ecological Restoration.
