About the Collaborative
The Montana Breastfeeding Learning Collaborative (BLC) is sponsored by the Montana Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and MT DPHHS Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Bureau, Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative Program (BFH). This premier conference on infant nutrition and lactation support provides the attendee with professional development opportunities, networking with other professionals and current clinical and practical lactation support knowledge.
After discussion and watching the trends regarding coronavirus/COVID-19, the Breastfeeding Learning Collaborative Committee has made the decision to cancel the WIC/Baby-Friendly Hospital Meetings and BLC Conference scheduled for April 15 -16th in Billings, MT. This conference has been cancelled out of an abundance of caution to our community members, patients, and caregivers surrounding the transmission of this disease and prioritizing healthcare members’ time.
We understand the importance of this event and look forward to planning the Breastfeeding Learning Collaborative 2021. We thank you for your continued dedication to improving breastfeeding care in the state of Montana.
