International Partnerships

Position Overview

The position provides an exciting opportunity to gain experience in International Partnership Agreement management in the UM Education Abroad Office. This position will enhance individual skills in interpersonal communication, database management, public speaking, and writing. Good computer skills are necessary, and the successful applicant should be very familiar with Microsoft Office suite.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and maintain UM’s International Partnership Database
  • Maintain a current list of Partner Universities and update regularly
  • Assist with administrative processes with UM’s International Partnership agreements
  • Prepare materials for International Counsel meetings
  • Work on other projects, as assigned

Requirements

Candidates for this position must be the following:

  • A UM student currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program at UM, and be in good academic and judicial standing
  • Available to work at least 10-15 hours a week
  • Able to enthusiastically and accurately promote the concept of international education to UM students, faculty, and staff
  • Someone with a high level of written and oral communication skills
  • Able to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multitask across multiple assignments
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and resourceful
  • An individual with excellent computer skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with building and managing databases
  • Knowledge of Access, PowerPoint and Excel software
