Peer Institutions
The University Assessment and Accreditation Committee developed a list of regional and national peers using our Key Performance Indicators, Carnegie Classifications, and mission-focused metrics. The peer list is:
- New Mexico State University-Main Campus
- South Dakota State University
- University of Colorado, Colorado Springs
- University of Idaho
- University of Louisville
- University of Maine
- University of Maryland-Baltimore County
- University of Northern Colorado
- University of Wyoming
- Wright State University-Main Campus
Other external entities, such as IPEDS and the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education, also have defined lists of UM peers based on various data points. Units within UM (e.g., Athletics, Admissions) may also use different sets of peer lists for their narrower purposes.
