We are saddened by the recent passing of our dear friend and colleague Phil Cousineau. Phil joined the law faculty in August of 2001. For over twenty years, he came to work excited to help out anyone in need. Most recently he served as Director of the Law Library.  Prior to serving as its Director, as Associate Professor of Law Librarianship Phil oversaw the Jameson Library’s technical services. Phil made the library a welcoming place. He shared with us his stories, his love of music and his joy in riding his motorcycle. His dedication to both law students and fellow colleagues will go unsurpassed. His steadfast presence will be greatly missed.

Phil passed away Sunday, July 10th. A celebration of life will be held at noon on Tuesday, August 23rd at the Jameson Law Library at the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana.

His celebration will be available remotely on Zoom by clicking this link.
