Welcome to the 71st Annual Montana Science Fair!
We are proud and excited to welcome so many of Montana's brightest young scientific minds to showcase their research projects. They will join over 20,000 students since 1955 as Montana Science Fair alumni!
The Montana Science Fair is affiliated with the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) and is open to all Montana middle school (Division II, grades 6-8) and high school (Division I, grades 9-12) students.

If you have questions, please contact Pete Lovette at pete.lovette@umontana.edu or (406) 224-4791.
Special invitation: Please come check out the first-ever Griz Science Showcase at the Montana Science Fair on Monday, March 30, at the UM Adams Center. We will feature undergraduate research poster presentations, lab tours of UM’s world-class research facilities, planetarium shows, telescope and drone demonstrations, spectrUM Discovery Area exhibits on the go, and opportunities to chat with faculty, staff, and students from more than 20 UM departments and programs. Free event open to all!
