Hello,
We are super excited to welcome you to in-person New Student Orientation on campus this fall! Residence hall move-in day will be here before you know it, and we want you to be ready to start your college journey with everything you need to be successful.
All incoming students should keep an eye on your Bear Tracks checklist throughout the summer, as new items to complete will appear from time to time. In addition to Bear Tracks and depending on your specific situation there are a couple additional things to look out for.
- By confirming your enrollment in Bear Tracks you were automatically signed up for New Student Orientation, Aug. 22 – 26, which you are required to attend.
- The Big Sky Experience (BSE) is an immersive program that takes place during orientation. Later this summer you’ll choose your BSE from a variety of options including environment and sustainability, science and technology, and business and entrepreneurship, and participate in special activities with a small group of your peers.
- Pre-Orientation Trips: Looking for some extra adventure? The Freshman Wilderness Experience or Flathead Lake Biological Station trip might be for you! Find all the details and links to register here.
Let us know if there is anything we can help with regarding your transition to the University of Montana. We are here for you.
Talk to you soon, Griz!
