Please join us for a seminar with Kelly M. Greenhill, a rising authority on international relations and security studies. She received her political science Ph.D. in 2004 from MIT and then taught at Wesleyan University before joining the faculty at Tufts University in 2007. Her courses at Tufts include Theories of International Politics, Political Geography and International Conflict, Causes of Modern Interstate War, and Better than Truth: Extra-Factual Information in International Politics.

Professor Greenhill is the author of Weapons of Mass Migration: Forced Displacement, Coercion, and Foreign Policy (Cornell Studies in Security Affairs), which won the 2011 International Studies Association’s Best Book of the Year Award. She also has co-edited with Peter Andreas Sex, Drugs and Body Counts: The Politics of Numbers in Global Crime and Conflict (2010, Cornell University Press). She is the co-editor, with Robert J. Art, of the forthcoming 8^th edition of The Use of Force: Military Power and International Politics, a classic text originally co-edited by Professor Art and by Kenneth N. Waltz, the founder of the highly influential neorealism school in international relations theory. Among her other current book projects is “Whispers of War, Mongers of Fear: Extra-factual Sources of Threat Conception and Proliferation.”
