Winter on the University of Montana's Oval brings much fun and excitement. We invite you to come and enjoy sitting by a crackling fire in the Adirondacks.
Fire pits will be lit Monday's 5:00pm-7:00pm and Wednesday's 12:00pm-2:00pm for free public usage starting Dec. 5th - Dec. 16th and returning Jan. 16th through early spring.
Looking to host a private event at the fire pits? We do that too! Contact Conference and Event Services at - 406-243-4119 to discuss the options.
We ask that folks make private reservations no less than 72 hours in advance to ensure that we have the facilities ready for your group. To check for upcoming reservations and fire pit lighting, check this page again at a later date.
Community Standards for Our Self-Monitored Rink
At UM, we recognize the transforming experiences that students have outside of the classroom are just as important as the learning that happens inside the classroom. We want our students - along with the campus and Missoula communities - to safely engage in making memories, building connections, and being a part of the Griz Family. So, we ask you to follow the Fire Pit Rules and be respectful partners in this endeavor
