Welcome to the Arabic section website at the University of Montana. The University of Montana has been offering courses in Arabic for more than a decade. Currently, the program offers two years of Arabic language as well as a course offered in English that addresses the history, cultures, politics, etc. of the Arabic-speaking countries.

Also, the Arabic section worked very closely with the Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) to establish Arabic courses for high school students. The Montana Arabic Summer Institute (MASI), attracted many high school students from Missoula and the surrounding areas for intensive summer courses funded by the US National Security Agency (NSA) via the STARTALK program.
