Dear Campus Community,

Five weeks from now we'll celebrate UM's newest graduates at Spring Commencement. Before the mortarboards are thrown, however, I want to ensure that we honor the hard work of each of you - the people who make this life-changing milestone possible for these students.

Please join me at the following events to celebrate your colleagues and our collective accomplishments.

April 8: Celebrate your colleagues by submitting nominations for the 2024 Week of Excellence Employee Awards. Nomination requirements for many awards were simplified this year so there's still time to honor colleagues by submitting nominations.

April 29: UM's 4th annual Week of Excellence will commence with five days of events celebrating UM's incredible students, faculty and staff.

May 1: The Week of Excellence Employee Celebration Breakfast will take place in the University Center Ballroom from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (with the program commencing at 9 a.m.). Join us to recognize our 2024 Week of Excellence Employee Award winners, our new retirees and our many employees celebrating longevity milestones.

May 9: Following the completion of another accreditation cycle, this year's UM Spring Ahead remarks will celebrate all we've accomplished over the last seven years while looking to the UM of 2030 and beyond. Please join your colleagues and enjoy breakfast treats and coffee at 9:30 a.m. in the UC Ballroom prior to the start of the program at 9:45 a.m.

Thank you for your dedication to UM and your hard work this academic year. I'm grateful for these opportunities to come together to celebrate with all of you.
