Home School

Application for Fall 2023 closes Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023.

Homeschool students seeking admission to UM should submit a completed undergraduate admission application and pay the $30 application fee. They will also need to provide one of the following:

  • Passing HiSET/GED score
  • ACT composite score of 22 or higher
  • SAT combined score of 1120 or higher

For students submitting ACT/SAT scores for admission, you should also submit the following with your application:

  1. A written statement of curriculum including all courses that you have completed at the high school level. If you have completed a pre-packaged program and received transcripts, then the transcripts are required.
  2. A letter of verification from the instructor(s). This can be a parent or an outside teacher that states they did instruct you.

If you are unable to produce a four-year curriculum and/or the letter of verification, then you will be required to take the GED/HiSET.

If you are applying under the age of 17, your file will automatically be selected to go to a review committee. This committee evaluates if a student is academically and emotionally prepared for college.

Prior to enrollment, you will need to arrange for your official ACT or SAT score report or HiSET/GED report to be sent to UM Admissions at the following address:
