About CIS's Inclusive Childcare
The Coalition for Indigenous STEM (CIS) has limited funds available to help assist with childcare expenses. Childcare funding is administered on a first come first serve basis so please submit applications as soon as possible.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must currently be a full-time student (graduate student full-time status may vary).
- Must demonstrate political affiliation with a federally recognized tribe
- Open to students in all areas of study; science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors will receive priority consideration.
Childcare rate guidelines are based on the Best Beginnings Scholarship:
- Family, Friend, and Neighbor estimates are as follows:
- Infant/Toddler: $841.50
- Preschool: $748.00
- School Age: $748.00
- Amounts are based on full-time enrollment
- Childcare assistance amount may be adjusted based on available funding
Enrollment Process
Students apply by filling out the childcare application.
