Thank you for your interest in joining my lab at the Montana Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit.

Opportunities to join the lab will be available in the future as funding becomes available. I will post position announcements to our website here and pin them to my Twitter page.

Current Opportunities:

Masters Teaching Assistantship: Human Dimensions of Grizzly Bear Recovery

STATUS: closed; no longer accepting applications.

General Information for Prospective Students:

Most students who join the lab will be accepted through a competitive process once a research topic has been funded. Prospective students who have acquired their own research funding (e.g., NSF grants) are welcome to contact me to discuss fit with the lab.

I am interested in working with students who have a strong work ethic, experience conducting wildlife research and working with large datasets, excellent people skills, R coding skills, GIS skills, and a publication record in peer-reviewed journals. A high motivation to learn and to contribute to wildlife ecology and conservation are also key. I am committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our field, and prospective students from underrepresented groups are warmly welcomed.

I receive many emails and meeting requests from prospective students. Though I would enjoy meeting with everyone who contacts me, due to time limitations and to maintain fairness, I generally refrain from meeting with prospective students outside of formal interviews.
