Where did you attend college? nathan-and-aspen

I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Socoiology, with a Minor in History, at Longwood University. I have continued my education in an untraditional manor with Gradaute Certificates, in the place of a Master's Degree, within the subjects: Public Health, Medical Education, Mental Health Support, and Healthcare Management.

What brought you to Montana?

I was looking for something different. Before moving to Montana the farthest west I had been was Sioux Falls, SD and I wanted to explore a bit further. I have enjoyed every second of this adventure and am very happy to have made Montana my home.

Why did you choose to be part of the Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana?

The values listed by the FMRWM. It is commonplace for an organization to tout their values and mission as unique, though most all share commonalities. In my search for work out west the FMRWM stood out due to their listing of two more unique values, Heart and Adventure. These values attracted me to apply and they are the values that keep me excited to be apart of this residency.

What are your interests outside the University and FMRWM?

Soccer has always been a part of my life. I have been a player, organizer for community pick-up games, and coach. I really look forward to joining in on all the fun with Missoula’s recreational soccer programs and be a supporter of it in anyway I can. I also enjoy many of the other great outdoor rec oppurtunties Montana has to offer.

What do you love about Western Montana?

That each new road I have driven seems to take me to a whole new type of landscape. For Missoula specifically, I love that any direction you look there is painting like view of the mountains. The Mountain west is an incredible place to live and provides ample reason to slow down and enjoy your surroundings.

What's your favorite book?

It is to hard to choose just one, but a few book series I really enjoy are Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, the Ender's Game, as well as many others.
