The Village Assistant is a live-in staff member responsible for an assigned area within Lewis and Clark Village working with 2-3 individual apartment buildings. The Village Assistant works in all phases of resident living with their supervisor responsible for Lewis and Clark Village. They serve as a liaison between the University administration and the residents of LCV, and foster an atmosphere for student learning, social, cultural, and emotional growth by serving as an advisor/counselor to the residents. They also assist the Area Coordinator in promoting the general well-being of the student community living in LCV. Please read the Village Assistant Position Description for additional information.

Compensation: VAs earn a 2-bedroom apartment at Lewis and Clark Village.

Individual Interview

VA candidates that are offered an individual interview must participate in the interview to be considered for the position. This interview will consist of a question and answer session with the questions being more biographical in nature so we can get to know who you are, why you are interested in being a VA, and what kind of activities, jobs, and experiences you have been involved in. Situation-based questions will also be asked.

Hiring Notification

All VA candidates will be notified of their hiring status by Mid-March, 2024, with the position beginning on June 1, 2024.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2.25 GPA
• Be a full-time student, either graduate or undergraduate (12-18 credits)
• Be in good conduct standing with the University
• Interest in working with people
• Qualify to live in Lewis and Clark Village
