Glacier Hall

Glacier Hall is the University's newest residence hall, fully opening Fall 2027.

Completed in 2027, Glacier Hall draws its name from the region's unique landscape, celebrating Glacial Lake Missoula, which shaped much of the landscape between Missoula and the Pacific Ocean, and Glacier National Park, located a few hours north of the university.

Glacier is a six-story residence hall featuring single, double, and triple room options for new and returning students. Every floor has several lounge and shared space options for studying and socializing, along with on-floor laundry. Floors two through six consist of three distinct residential communities in the west, central, and north wings of the building, with one smaller residential community on the first floor. Glacier Hall offers both co-ed and designated men's or women's residential communities. In co-ed communities, students of different genders live throughout the same floor or community. Roommate assignments are same-gender by default, with co-ed roommate pairings available by mutual request.

Each residential community has single-user community bath areas that combine open, shared sinks and mirrors with individually enclosed toilet rooms, shower rooms, and fully accessible bathrooms. Each toilet room, shower room, and full bathroom is designed for one person at a time and features a locking door and floor-to-ceiling privacy. The bath areas are shared by residents of the community and their guests rather than assigned to individual rooms or suites.

The first floor and basement also offer a communal kitchen, a TV and recreation lounge, multiple large and small event spaces, private study rooms, electronic package lockers, student storage options, and bike and ski tuning and storage areas. Glacier Hall is the second residence hall on campus to offer an enterprise-grade fiber optic network delivering ultra-fast internet with zero lag for seamless streaming, gaming, and calls.

Living Learning Communities: Beginning with the 2027-2028 academic year, Glacier Hall will host a new College of Business LLC.
Storage: Student storage, as well as bike and ski tuning and storage areas are offered in the basement.
