Labor Relations
The University of Montana recognizes the rights of eligible employees to organize and be represented by a union. UM has nine bargaining units representing staff in a variety of classifications across the main campus and Missoula College. This page provides an overview of labor relations at UM and contact information for each bargaining unit representative.
Collective bargaining agreements are negotiated by the Commissioner of Higher Education on behalf of the Board of Regents. Current agreements for all MUS bargaining units are maintained by the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education.
