The School of Journalism was founded in 1914 when Dean Arthur Stone pitched some surplus Army tents on the Oval and held the University of Montana's first journalism classes. In 2014-15 we will celebrate the school's centennial with special events throughout the year.
CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
The School of Journalism hosted an assortment of events on September 26th and 27th in celebration of the school's centennial. Nearly 400 alums and their families packed Don Anderson Hall, the Adams Center, and the Homecoming Parade route to reconnect with their alma mater. For a glimpse of the festivities, click here.
In honor of the school's centennial, we asked our alums to reflect on their time at the school. Find some of their favorite memories, here.
