Program Overview
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Graduate Certificate Program is designed for graduates in chemistry, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, and related fields who are interested in careers in QA and/or QC within the biotechnology industry. It is ideal for STEM graduates, scientists entering the biotech industry, and biotech professionals seeking QA/QC advancement.
The program consists of two complementary components:
- an asynchronous online instructional module via UCSD Extended Studies.
- an in-person, practical laboratory (CareerReady - QA/QC Career Accelerator) module via the University of Montana (UM) and Montana Biotechnology Center (BIOTECH)
The flexible modular structure allows students to choose from the following pathways:
- Option 1 - complete the online module only through UCSD Extended Studies and earn a UCSD Graduate Certificate
- Option 2 - complete the in-person laboratory module only at UM and earn a UM Certificate of Completion
- Option 3 - complete both the online instructional module and the in-person laboratory module to earn two certificates: a UCSD Graduate Certificate and a UM Certificate of Completion
