The University of Montana Anthropological Collections Facility (UMACF) cares for many collections and engages in diverse ways with communities outside and beyond the usual NAGPRA requirements. These collections fall under the facility's outside the repatriation box agenda. The goal is to show how active repatriation actions on the part of university facilities, cultural institutions, and museums towards communities can result in many benefits for both sides.
