Advanced Standing Program

The Advanced Standing program recognizes the foundational social work knowledge gained through qualifying/accredited BSW or BSSW degree programs and will provide the opportunity for qualified applicants to complete their MSW education in one year.

This program is a 37-credit, 12-month, full-time option delivered synchronously online (with a required one-day in person orientation and some asynchronous components). Accepted students will complete a 9-credit summer bridge program, then complete all required Specialization year courses and 6 credits of elective courses over the fall and spring semesters. Advanced Standing students will participate in an enhanced practicum where they will gain real-world social work skills and knowledge while promoting social justice and serving marginalized members of their local community.
