Details on Receiving and Paying with Aid
-
Eligible students receive estimated award notices once UM receives a student's processed FAFSA.
-
Per federal regulations, financial aid and scholarships cannot be disbursed to the student account until 10 days prior to each term.
-
Financial aid begins to be disbursed the week before classes begin.
-
Most financial aid is sent directly to UM, not to the student. UM then uses the funds to pay the balance owed to the school.
