Scott Young

Vice President of Digital Entertainment

As Vice President of Digital Entertainment, Scott is responsible for developing and managing new entertainment business opportunities for Best Buy, a Fortune 100 company and North America’s No. 1 specialty retailer of consumer electronics, personal computers, entertainment software and major appliances. As part of his work in this area, Scott led the efforts to develop the Netflix, iTunes and Best Buy, Napster business opportunities, as well as other new entertainment businesses for the company.

Scott originally joined Best Buy in 1999 as part of the leadership team that launched BestBuy.com, and has been responsible for initiatives including the launch of the Software and Games stores, Digital Music Store and the Best Buy Entertainment Site. Prior to joining Best Buy, Young was Vice President of Strategic Marketing for BMG Entertainment. Prior to BMG, Young was Vice President of Special Markets and Business Development for Priority Records.

A native of Pennsylvania, Young earned his bachelor’s degree from Yale University in and his MBA from UCLA. He resides in Wayzata, Minn. with his wife and two children.
