- Blodgett Canyon overlook (moderate drive of an hour each way--one of the best views in the region)

  - Greenough Park
  - The Jumbo Saddle
  - the "M" trail
  - Barmeyer trail (one-two hour hikes in town)
- Pattee Canyon for walking through the autumn larch trees
