Shortly after abortion became legalized in 1973, a group of women noticed the need for the first abortion clinic in Montana. Opening in 1977, the Blue Mountain Clinic provide some of the first safe, and legal abortions in Missoula

Partnership Health Center has always acknowledge the wealth inequality in rural areas and how it affects individual peoples ability to afford and have access to health care. A majority of patients at Partnership Health Center live at or the below the poverty line. PHC is committed to giving affordable and reliable health insurance to all, regardless of economic status.

Originally opened in 1986 under the name Missoula AIDS Council, Open Aid Alliance has been dedicated to provide healthcare adn advocacy to individuals who have HIV/AIDS. 

Mission—

“ The service we provide is unique and we serve specific populations with distinct needs. Our goal is to provide a space and the resources necessary for people to contemplate and initiate positive change without judgment or fear of prosecution. In addition, we recognize that some systems inherently oppress people, and we think that is straight up wrong. So we can help push back and push on!”

    • For individuals living with HIV, Open Aid Alliance offers the following services:

    • This program helps ith people dealing with addication and a harm reeducation therapy.

  • PrEP
    • “PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a new HIV prevention approach where HIV-negative individuals use anti-HIV medications to reduce their risk of becoming infected if they are exposed to the virus. The medications work to prevent HIV from establishing infection inside the body. PrEP has been shown to reduce the risk of infection for gay and bisexual men, transgender women, heterosexual men and women at high risk of HIV infection, and injection drug users. PrEP does not protect against other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).”
