Research and Creative Scholarship

Supporting the educational and research mission of the University through advocacy and advancement of basic and applied research, creative scholarship, and academic scholarship, the research enterprise at The University of Montana is thriving.  With research and creativity running the gamut from biomedical breakthroughs to pine beetle research to archeological exploration, UM scholarly activities fuel an economic engine for the state and region.

Our team works dilligently to foster an environment that encourages the pursuit of research, scholarly activities, and economic development.  We are living the prophetic message of UM's first President, Oscar J. Craig, "The University - It shall prosper."
