Health information coders play a critical role in accurately identifying procedures and diagnoses for accurate billing and reimbursement. We'll train you in anatomy, medical terminology and disease processes necessary to determine correct codes and sequences. You'll also learn how to analyze health records and to accurately abstract and code procedures and diagnoses, and how to communicate with health professionals and patients to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
