Partners
Now a program under the umbrella of ASUM Bear Necessities, the UM Food Pantry first opened its doors in February of 2019 in response to findings from a student-led Committee on Basic Needs Insecurity. The UM Food Pantry works with ASUM and other student-led groups on campus to provide services, education, and outreach. The UM Food Pantry also partners with Missoula Food Bank & Community Center, Montana Food Bank Network, Missoula Chamber of Commerce, the University Center, and others in the community to organize food & donation drives, events, and fundraising campaigns.
Hours of Operation and Locations
The main food pantry is located on the southwest side of the first floor of the University Center, down the hallway adjacent to ASUM.

Donations
The Food Pantry accepts non-perishable donations at any time in the drop box located at their main office in the UC (see above for location). In addition to food items, toiletries & other personal care products are always welcomed, including (but not limited to) toilet paper, soap, oral care products, period products, household cleaning products, and can-openers.
Monetary donations are much needed as well. Such donations help fund the operation as well as purchase food and products that are not being collected. You can donate by setting up a payroll deduction through the Foundation, or donating online below. For information on either, please contact the UM Food Pantry.
