Campus Recreation Youth Camps
Is Campus Recreation Youth Camps specifically a sports related camp?
No, this is a recreation camp where participants will experience a variety of activities throughout the day. Additionally, children take part in swim lessons, fitness activities, climbing wall instruction, and outdoor recreation.
My child is four-and-a-half years old and not yet in kindergarten. Will they be able to participate in Youth Camps?
Is there a multi-children discount for families?

Can I register my child for part of a session/week?
We do not offer a discount for partial weeks. If your child needs to leave camp for a portion of the week, however, please inform us the week of camp on Monday morning or call (406) 243-5295 to let us know.
Is lunch provided for each day of camp or does my child need to bring a lunch?
I work at 8:00am, is there an early drop off period?
I work until 5 p.m. and will not be able to pick up my child until 5:15PM. Can we still participate in the After-Rec Program?
Where do I drop off or pick up my child for camp?
Please refer to the parent manual for this information because it changes weekly. You should have been emailed a link and password to this manual, but assistance is available by calling us at (406) 243-5295 or emailing campusrec.youthcamps@umontana.edu.
Are scholarships available?
Yes, the deadline for scholarship applications is May 14. Please visit our details page for more information and a link to the applications.
Can I register by phone?
I'm having issues trying to register my child online, how do I get assistance?
First, make sure you are adding your child as a dependent on your profile. The system does not let you register unless you have a dependent between the ages of 4-12. If you have added them as a dependent and are still having problems, please call (406) 243-5295 during regular business hours for assistance.
My child does not know how to swim, is this a problem?
No, our swimming times on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon includes swim instruction.
In the event of an emergency or something unexpected, how can I connect with my child during the camp day?
You can call the office at (406) 243-5295 or the camp cell phone. The camp cell phone number changes each summer. You can find this number in the current parent handbook. We also email it out the week before each camp session.
