Credit for Prior Learning

Credit for Military & Veteran Students

Military service can include significant college-level learning through formal training, military occupations, leadership development, technical instruction, and specialized schools. UM reviews military learning through the Credit for Prior Learning process to determine whether it may apply toward a student’s certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree.

Have you submitted a JST, CCAF transcript, or other documentation of military training? UM may have additional credit options based on your military learning. Request a review and the CPL Navigator will help identify possible course equivalencies.

Submit a JST

Students with military training should begin by submitting an official Joint Services Transcript or Community College of the Air Force transcript and contacting the CPL Navigator.
