How to Room Renew:
The Room Renew Request Form will be available in your Fall 2022 Application in your myHousingPortal starting March 28. Current residents wanting to renew their room again for Fall 2022 must make this request in their portal by 11:59 p.m. March 29.
- Residents may opt to renew their current room and participate in Room Selection. If you renew your current room you will not be able to select another room in your portal during Room Selection. However, you will still be able to participate if you want but you will need to visit the UM Housing Office in Turner Hall between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. during Room Selection.
- All ADA singles may be renewed; however, residents must have a Housing Accommodation request from ODE on file with UM Housing. Residents requesting to renew an ADA room must email the UM Housing Occupancy Manager during Room Renew. Please note, you do not need to request a new Housing Accommodation from ODE unless your accommodation needs have changed. If you already have one on file that is all that is required.
Rooms Not Eligible for Room Renew
Below is a list of non-eligible rooms. Please note, this list is subject to change as UM Housing finalizes set up for Fall 2022.
Double rooms that are currently being used as singles will be used as double rooms for Fall 2022 and can not be reserved as a single room. If you are currently in a double as a single and choose to renew it, your room will revert back to being a double and you will be assigned a roommate for Fall 2022.
- Craig Hall: All of 1st and 2nd West (129-146 & 233-250) , 17, 18, 19, 21, 24-31, 37-39, 40*, 41*, 116*, 121, 122, 124, 127, 128, 145*, 218, 221-224, 230, 231, 249*, 321-324, 330, 331, 333, 334, 335, 340, 342, 345, 347, 349*
- Duniway Hall: 053, 064, 071*, 158, 169, 176*, 262, 271, 280, 362, 371, 380 (Note: Duniway Hall will only have double rooms for Fall 2022).
- Elrod Hall: 208*, 223*, 318*, 324, 325* (Note: the following rooms will be double rooms in Elrod Hall for Fall 2022: 101, 104, 105, 201, 204, 205, 211, 212, 214-217, 219, 220, 226, 227, 230, 301, 304, 305, 316, 317, 319, 320, 326, 327, 329, 330).
- Jesse Hall: All of 1st, 3rd – 8th, & 10th floors.
- Knowles Hall: All of Knowles. Knowles will be closed for the 2022-2023 academic year for remodeling.
- Miller Hall: All of 2nd, 3rd, & 4th floors, 502*, 506*, 509*, 515*, 516*, 518*, 529*, 530*, 533*, 535*, 547*, 555*, 556*, 557*, & 559*
- Pantzer Hall: All of 1st and 2nd, 302*, 305*, 314*, 402*, 405*, & 414*.
- Turner Hall: 001*, 002*, 004*, & 007*
*ADA rooms eligible to renew only if a Housing Accommodation request is on file from ODE.
