High School Day

Each spring, high school students from around the region come to the School of Journalism for workshops and recognition. The school's faculty present workshops on a variety of pertinent topics, ranging from photo editing to news writing and broadcast practices. 

Save the Date: 2024 High School Journalism Day - April 18

Who: High school journalists, yearbook staffs and media makers of all kinds (and their teachers!) from across the region.

What: A day of hands-on workshops with UM School of Journalism professors on spotting misinformation, writing, reporting, digital storytelling (video and podcasting), photography, design, social media and more! Head to the Food Zoo for lunch, get a feel for campus and learn from the faculty of a top-ranked Journalism program. Teachers and advisers can join a special luncheon with workshop time just for them.

When: Thursday, April 18, 2024

Where: University of Montana School of Journalism, Missoula, Montana

  • High School Name Adviser/Teacher/Parent Name and Email
  • Number of students participating.
  • We would like to know if you all plan to attend the same workshops together, or if your students will be attending workshops individually.
  • Address where we can send goodies for you to hand out to your students.
