LawIT

LawIT is the in-house IT department for the School of Law. Located in LAW 125, we are responsible for classroom, office technology and limited help desk support for students. We also support technology for courses, meetings and events.

For students, we offer minor troubleshooting of software issues, tech recommendations and answering questions students may have. We also assist with Examplify: fixing simple problems, helping with installation and answering questions about the software.

Contact

For any support inquiries, email us at lawsupport@mso.umt.edu. This will generate a ticket within our LawIT ticketing system for us to track and through which to respond to your inquiry or request. This is the best way to get a hold of us for non-emergency, non-urgent issues. You can also reach us by calling (406) 243-2546 or stopping by LAW 125.

Moodle Support Pages

In Moodle, we offer Student Support resources and Employee Support resources. These Moodle pages require authentication for select users with their NetID login. If you believe you should have access to one of these pages but do not, please contact LawIT.

Personal Computer Support

LawIT may be able to help with minor laptop computer problems as time allows. In most circumstances, however, we are not able to devote time and resources to individual configurations or repairs of personal machines. Students may be able to obtain limited help with personal computer repairs from the Central IT help desk in the Social Sciences building in room 120. In addition, LawIT carries a list of commercial services in town that perform various computer repairs.

For support issues, please submit a ticket by emailing us at lawsupport@mso.umt.edu.
