UM Writing Placement

Writing placement easier than ever through Submittable!

Navigate to UM Writing Placement on Submittable and follow the instructions.

You will need:

  1. Your student email address.  Instructions for setting up student email.
  2. Your student ID number:  UM ID numbers begin 790 and are 9 digits long

Test submissions will be evaluated after each New Student Orientation  and periodically during Fall and Spring semester.  Scores will be available 1-2 business days after evaluation.  

To be included in the next evaluation, you must submit your Writing Placement online before the posted deadline.
