Going back to school ten years after my bachelor’s degree was a daunting decision, but has turned out to be a huge turning point in my life. The technical education at Missoula College is beneficial for both continuing on with further education and joining the workforce. I had the opportunity join the Accounting Tech Apprenticeship program, which is a paid two-year commitment with a local business. It gave me the opportunity for true work experience and on-the-job training while still in school. The skills and experience I have gained from the apprenticeship program, coupled with the courses at Missoula College, has built a solid foundation I will carry throughout my career. Being able to graduate with actual work experience that was accomplished while in school is what I am most thankful for from this opportunity.
