Welcome to the University of Montana Opera Theater!

UM  Opera Theater is a dynamic and exciting ensemble, committed to the most collaborative of all art forms, opera and musical theater.

UMOT has gained national accolades for its dynamic productions of opera and musical theater. With the UM Opera Theater, students may participate in classic works, new works, and original works over the course of their studies.

Students develop their vocal and dramatic skills by participating in full productions with sets and costumes, as well as scenes programs. They also gain behind-the-scenes experience working with sets, costumes, hair and make-up, publicity, and fund-raising.

Please contact Professor Anne Basinski for more information about being involved (anne.basinski@umontana.edu).

To welcome the spring, the UM Opera Theater will be offering these performances.
