Hi, 

We are gearing up for an exciting week of welcome, known here as the Big Sky Experience.  This award-winning program, scheduled Aug. 21-25, 2023, is required for all incoming traditional-aged first-year students, and we encourage both adult learners and transfer students to consider attending as well.  

Not only does this week set you up for success and provide opportunities for you to make friends and get to know campus, but it also includes campus and community immersion experiences which allow you to explore your new home, learn a bit about a local organization and contribute to some lasting and impactful projects.  

In two weeks, you will be invited to register for the Big Sky Experience, at which time you will also select the specific site activity and campus partner you would like to be with during the week.  Spaces are limited, and are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are in the Grizzly Marching Band, or an NCAA student athlete please select those sites as your option. 

In preparation, here’s a sneak preview of available Big Sky Experience site activities, and a full schedule of events for our Aug. 21-2 week of welcome! 

Anyone who does not pre-select a site will be assigned to an available spot when they arrive on campus on Aug. 21 and check in for the Big Sky Experience.
