Public Planetarium Shows
Step into a live, immersive journey through the night sky and cosmos as our presenters guide you through constellations, planets, deep‑sky wonders, and the most exciting celestial events on the horizon, all crafted to deepen your connection to the universe and expand your understanding of it.
Public shows are held on Friday evenings, at 6pm and 7pm. Shows are scheduled to run for 50 minutes, and we always try to reserve time at the end for additional Q&A. All our planetarium shows are presented by Physics & Astronomy students, staff, or faculty.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before your show’s start time, as there is no entry once the planetarium door is closed and the show begins.

Public Show Reminders
- We ask patrons to remain silent and refrain from conversing during shows; this includes silencing electronics and stowing them out of sight.
- We recommend children be at least seven years old for our public shows.
- Please give our computer and projection equipment plenty of space, and do not touch the ceiling or any of the technology that makes the planetarium possible.
- No food or drink is permitted in the planetarium.
- Please remain seated once the show has begun. If you must leave the planetarium at any time during the show, please ask our presenter to help you safely exit. For your safety and the consideration of those inside the planetarium, there is no re-entry.

A journey through existence, starting with the smallest building blocks and working up to the largest view we have of our known universe. Presented by Oliver Hughes.
26-June Stellar Evolution: How Stars Build Our Universe
Stars are the driving force behind the universe, creating light, forming gravity wells, and seeding the future for new stars and planets. Explore the nature of stars, their lifecycles, and the oftentimes spectacular ends of their lives. Presented by Jake Fischer.
10-July Sunsets Across the Solar System
Explore the heavens from the perspective of our planetary neighbors, including multi-colored sunsets, auroras, and more! Presented by Aiden Agostinelli.
24-July Existential Astrophysics

7-August The Cosmos: From the Big Bang to the End of Time
